Coach Darling enters his 16th year of Education in Effingham County. He spent 2008-2012 as an assistant boys basketball coach at South Effingham High School. After coaching at South Effingham, he spent two years as an assistant Boys Basketball Coach under Coach Donnie Arrington from 2012-2014. Coach Darling completed 8 years as Head Boys Basketball Coach at Effingham County High School. While at the helm of the program, ECHS has accrued a record of 140-87. Coach Darling has coached other sports at SEHS and ECHS throughout his 14 years (Soccer, Track and Field, and Football).

Prior to his coaching career, Coach Darling spent 4 years playing basketball at Berry College and earned a degree in History. He was a starter and captain of the team from 2006-2008.

Coach Darling graduated high school from Lake Dallas, Texas. His wife, Hannah, is a teacher at Ebenezer Middle School. He has three sons--Jacob, Roman, and Max.

Rachel Jones was born and raised in Effingham County.  She attended South Effingham High School where she met her husband Derek to whom she has been married for 21 years. She has five children--Ravyn, Dawson, Kaydin, LJ, and Romyn. 

Mrs. Jones started her career at ECHS as the front office assistant in 2022.  This will be her first year as the administrative assistant to the assistant principals.  She will also be assisting with athletics and discipline.
