Change of Address
If you have moved:
1. Fill out a Change of Address Form
2. Attach two proofs of residency.
3. Submit it to the school Data Clerk.
If you have multiple students in the county, you only need to fill out one form. The address will change for all of your students.

Proof of Residency
Effingham County Schools Board Policy states:
“At any time, upon request by school or district staff, the parent /guardian shall be required to present proof of residency (such as an electric bill, city water bill, etc.) and to certify that the student is a full-time resident, (i.e. 12 months a year). This certification may also be dependent on visual inspection by school district officials.”
Address changes require two proofs of residency.
We can accept anything from the following list:
One MUST be a utility bill.
Current Electric, Water, or Gas Bill
AND ONE of the Following: (must be the most recent & include address) :
□ Current Driver’s License WITH matching Address on Application
□ Current Residential Property Tax Statement or Bill
□ Current SIGNED Lease/Rental Agreement WITH Current Rent Receipt
□ Current Home Purchase & Sales Agreement
□ Current Mortgage Statement
□ Current Homeowner/Renters Insurance

necessary, or bring in a physical copy with the change of address form.
Family Residency Affidavit
If the registering parent doesn't have a valid proof of residency in their name, you must fill out a Family Residency Affidavit.
This form must be signed by both the parent and the person who either owns or rents the home and has the utility or lease in his/her name.
It must also be notarized in both signature areas by a school district employee. A current (within 30 days) proof of residency must be submitted along with a copy of the homeowner/renter's photo ID.
Password Resets
If you need to reset your parent portal password, please use the forgot password function on the parent portal login screen. Password reset instructions will be sent to the email address linked to your account. If you need further assistance please, fill out the form on this page and the Data Clerk will contact you.
Student Fees
You can view fees on your child's account in the parent portal. Hold's can be placed on student accounts for lost or damaged textbooks, calculators, uniforms, etc.
If you have questions about a hold that was placed on your child's account, contact the teacher or coach directly.
Please CLICK HERE to pay student fees online via MySchoolBucks. Contact Mrs. Purnell (jlpurnell@effingham.k12.ga.us) with any questions regarding payment on My School Bucks. Fees must be paid by May 20 if you are paying on MySchool Bucks. You can also pay fees by cash, check, or card with Mrs. Bennett in her office.
A notification is emailed to the Data Clerk after your payment is submitted.
Student Work Permits
Effective July 1, 2015, with the exception of minors in entertainment, work permits are no longer required for youth age 16 and older.
Students in need of a work permit MUST be in the stages of the hiring process with an employer before beginning the work permit application.
Please make sure you read the Minor Instructions for Online Work Permit Application. The employer must complete the Employer's steps to the online work permit as well.
After you complete this process, submit the 10 character MSK (Minor Security Key) to the school data clerk for processing.

Work Permit - Paper Copy
If you are unable to complete the work permit process online, you can print the paper copy. It must be signed by the employer before it can be processed. You can email the form to the school Data Clerk.
